This piece explores the tension between beauty and unease through sculpted octopus tentacles emerging from dark, swirling waters. Layers of oil paint create shifting oceanic tones beneath a glossy resin surface, giving the illusion of movement suspended in time. Hand-sculpted clay elements break beyond the frame, turning the painting into something caught between artwork and artifact.

The textured edges and deep teal colors evoke something ancient, submerged, and alive, as though the sea itself is pressing through the panel.

Each angle catches different reflections and details, making the piece feel constantly changing, like water in low light. My heart and my oceanic soul went directly into this piece.
